Nasimuddin holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Electronics from the University of Delhi, where he received a Merit Scholarship Award in 1996. His early academic excellence was also marked by achieving the highest marks in high school in 1989 at Inter College Shakari-Nagar, India.

Nasimuddin has a wealth of professional experience, including roles as a Research Fellow, Scientist, and Principal Scientist at I2R, Singapore (2006-present). He also served as an Honorary Research Fellow at Macquarie University, Australia (2009-2020) and was the Principal Investigator for an ARC Discovery Project Grant during his tenure as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Australia (2004-2006).
