Professor Moshtagh holds a Ph.D. in Power Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath (2002-2006), where he developed advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence techniques for fault location in low voltage underground cables. His Ph.D. was fully funded by Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. He also earned an M.Sc. in Power Electrical Engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology (1992-1995), focusing on transformer inrush current detection using neural networks. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Power Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (1984-1989), where he conducted computer-based short circuit calculations in Iran’s power network.
