His academic pursuits led him to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, where he earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1994, demonstrating his dedication to advancing his expertise in the field.

Professor Lee’s professional career started as a researcher at the Medical Synthetic Lab at KIST in Seoul, Korea, from 1985 to 1989. He then served as a TA and RA at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while completing his Ph.D. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution until 1995. His career further advanced as a Senior Researcher at LG Chem’s Analytical Center in Daejon, Korea. Since 2000, he has been a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, Chosun University, where he also served as Dean from 2010 to 2012.
