Professor Wonjae Lee began his academic journey with a B.S. in Chemistry from Seoul National University in 1983. He then pursued an M.S. in Chemistry at KAIST, Korea, completing it in 1985. His academic pursuits led him to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, where he earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1994, demonstrating his dedication to advancing his expertise in the field.

Professor Lee’s professional career started as a researcher at the Medical Synthetic Lab at KIST in Seoul, Korea, from 1985 to 1989. He then served as a TA and RA at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while completing his Ph.D. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution until 1995. His career further advanced as a Senior Researcher at LG Chem’s Analytical Center in Daejon, Korea. Since 2000, he has been a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, Chosun University, where he also served as Dean from 2010 to 2012.
