From August 2018 to 2022, Dr. Batte served as a lecturer at Ndejje University in Kampala, where he taught mathematics courses, mentored students, and contributed to curriculum development. His experience in these roles has strengthened his commitment to education and his ability to inspire the next generation of mathematicians.

Awards and Scholarships

Dr. Herbert Batte has received several prestigious awards and scholarships throughout his academic journey. He was awarded the NRF Fund for 2024–2025, which provides full funding for his PhD studies in Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. In January 2024, he also received funding from CoeMASS to support his research at the same institution. Prior to these achievements, he was awarded fully funded scholarships from the EAUMP to pursue his PhD studies at Makerere University from 2022 to 2025, as well as for his MSc studies from 2019 to 2021. These scholarships reflect his academic excellence and commitment to advancing mathematical research.
