Dr. Yan’s research primarily focuses on ecological urban and sustainable spatial development, urban resilience, and green infrastructure. His work addresses environmental sustainability in urbanization and urban growth, and he explores methods to make rapid urban growth processes more equitable, transparent, and socially and ecologically sustainable.

🎓 Dr. Yan obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Chongqing in 2007. He also holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning, earned in 1994, and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning, awarded in 1991, both from the University of Chongqing.
