🌍 Kangen Zhou is a dedicated researcher in the field of Planetary Sciences, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tianjin University. His work focuses on understanding environmental, ecological, and hydrological evolution processes, particularly through the analysis of lake and peat sediments.

Education

🎓 Kangen completed his Bachelor’s degree in Geology at Northwest University from September 2010 to June 2014. He then pursued a Ph.D. in Geology with a focus on Geochemistry at the Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from September 2014 to September 2020.

Experience

👨‍🔬 Kangen has been a Postdoctoral Researcher in Environmental Science and Engineering at the School of Earth System Science, Tianjin University, since December 2020. His research spans various regions in Northwest, Central, and Southwest China, where he investigates the geochemical processes in lake sediments.

Research Interests

🔍 Kangen’s research interests include the environmental and ecological evolution processes since the Holocene, focusing on lakes and peat sediments. He employs stable isotopes and elemental analysis to explore watershed response processes in arid and semi-arid regions of China.
