Profile
Education
Dr. Javad Amini Mahabadi earned his Ph.D. in Reproductive Biology from Kashan University of Medical Sciences in 2019, specializing in stem cell differentiation and germ cell biology. Prior to this, he completed his Masterβs in Animal Physiology at the University of Zanjan (2011) and his Bachelor’s in Animal Science at Razi University (2007). His graduate research focused on the effects of sesame seed regimen on the reproductive systems of male rats and the differentiation of mouse induced pluripotent stem cells to primordial germ cells-like (PGCs). His advanced studies have made him an expert in both medical genetics and stem cell research, particularly in their applications to infertility treatments and reproductive health.
Experience
Dr. Mahabadi has extensive experience in academic teaching, research, and administration. He is currently a faculty member at Kashan University of Medical Sciences, where he teaches subjects such as stem cell culture, sperm analysis, and scientific writing. In addition to his teaching roles, he has served as a Supervisor Engineer at a mother chicken company and worked as an Administrative Officer at Nain University. His academic roles are complemented by his leadership in various workshops on research topics like stem cell culture, proposal writing, and Endnote. He has also been an active member of the student research committee at Kashan University, mentoring students in research activities and fostering a collaborative academic environment.
Research Focus
Dr. Mahabadi’s research focuses on reproductive biology, stem cells, and medical genetics, with particular emphasis on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and germ cell differentiation. His work investigates the impact of hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, alongside compounds like retinoic acid, in directing stem cell differentiation into primordial germ cells (PGCs). He also studies herbal medicineβs effects on male infertility and explores nanotechnology’s potential in stem cell therapies. Dr. Mahabadi’s research aims to advance understanding in areas of IVF, ICSI, and medical genetics, with applications for improving fertility treatments and developing new regenerative therapies. His interdisciplinary approach merges reproductive physiology with cutting-edge stem cell science.
