🎓 Prof. Dr. Dinithi Peiris boasts an impressive academic journey, starting with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, UK, earned in Feb. 1999. Prior to that, she completed her B.Sc. Hons in Biological Sciences at The University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in Sep. 1993. Dr. Peiris further honed her expertise with diplomas in Molecular Biology tools from Genentech, Colombo, in 2003, and Project Management from Langara College, Canada, in 2011. Her commitment to education is evident through additional qualifications, including CTHE from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2013, and various diplomas in teacher training and child psychology. 🌟

👩‍🏫 Dr. Dinithi C Peiris boasts an illustrious career in academia and research, spanning various prestigious institutions across the globe. Since December 1, 2012, she has served as a Professor of Zoology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, solidifying her expertise in the field. Prior to this, Dr. Peiris held positions as a Research Fellow in Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia from June 2008 to June 2012. Her tenure as a Senior Lecturer 1 in Zoology at the University of Colombo Faculty of Science from June 1994 to June 2007 further enriched her teaching and research prowess. Additionally, she contributed as a Post-doctoral Fellow in Physiology at Queen’s University, Faculty of Medicine, from June 2004 to June 2006, consolidating her interdisciplinary research experience. 🌍
