Education 🎓

Professor Moshtagh holds a Ph.D. in Power Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath (2002-2006), where he developed advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence techniques for fault location in low voltage underground cables. His Ph.D. was fully funded by Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. He also earned an M.Sc. in Power Electrical Engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology (1992-1995), focusing on transformer inrush current detection using neural networks. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Power Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (1984-1989), where he conducted computer-based short circuit calculations in Iran’s power network.

Professor Moshtagh has published over 50 articles in prominent journals and presented numerous papers at national and international conferences. He authored a book on electrical engineering fundamentals and contributed a book chapter on electric vehicle charge scheduling. He has served as a referee for many Ph.D. projects and research initiatives at various Iranian universities and organizations. His work has received substantial recognition, evidenced by an h-index of 19 and i10-index of 26, with over 1050 citations.
