Education:

Dr. Anguera earned a Technical Engineering degree in Electronic Systems (1994), an Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering (1998), and a Telecommunication Engineering degree (1998), all from the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain. He went on to complete his Ph.D. in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2003. 🎓🔬

Experience:

Dr. Anguera’s career spans academia and industry, with leadership roles in both. He was a co-founder and R&D manager at Fractus, where he led groundbreaking antenna projects for mobile phones, base stations, and automotive applications. His international experience includes overseeing Fractus’ South Korea office, where he secured major contracts with global companies. Since 2017, he has been leading the R&D efforts at Ignion. He has also been an Associate Professor at Universitat Ramon Llull since 1999. 👨‍🏫💼

Research Interests:

Dr. Anguera’s research focuses on antenna booster technology (Virtual Antenna®), multiband and small antennas, diversity antenna systems/MIMO, electromagnetic dosimetry, microstrip antennas, fractals, and genetically optimized antenna systems. Dr. Anguera has received numerous prestigious awards throughout his career, including the European Information Technology Grand Prize for Applied Science and Engineering in 1998, the Best Doctoral Thesis in 2003, and the Technology Pioneer distinction from the World Economic Forum in 2005.
