Expectations for Sony’s First-Party Titles at PSX 2017

Before his death, Sokeuni ordered two retainers to escape the island on a small boat. The two, named Kotaro and Jiro Hyoue, were tasked with the mission to inform the authorities in Kyushu of the incoming invasion. They managed to successfully perform their mission and went on to fight during both invasions. They were ultimately killed in action in 1281 during the battle of Taka Isl

This incident has provided a good opportunity for Riot Games to adjust their policy regarding voice talent. While it might distract slightly from the game itself, making news of their voice actors only stands to increase the profile and popularity of _ League of Legends _ . A hire such as James Faulkner, who already has a significant foothold in fantasy entertainment as Tarly, would make for enticing news out of Riot. As mentioned in Gilliam’s piece, it is also widely rumored that Patrick Warburton provides the voice of

Announced back at E3 2016 from the long dormant Sony Bend Studio, fans have been able to see multiple substantial demos from the open-world apocalypse game despite the title having no release period yet to be attached to it. Days Gone skipped last year’s PSX event, and with no confirmed panels or playable demos, a similar fate could likely befall Sony’s less anticipated zombie title. At best, fans could expect a trailer that perhaps dives further into the story and characters that Sony Bend has kept mum on thus far.

At last, the second fleet from China arrived in July, linking up with the one from Korea. But at that point, Japanese defenders were pouring into Kyushu from all over the country. The walls around Hakata Bay were manned by thousands of samurai warriors. On top of that, small Japanese ships continued to harass the Mongol combined fleet with sudden boarding actions that caused the loss of many soldiers and sail

Dreams is arguably this year’s most interesting PSX appearance, with developer Media Molecule having gone mostly radio silent since the game’s brief tease at the PS4 announcement event back in February 2013. With a confirmed showing at the PlayStation Presents presser and its own panel, expect to learn plenty about the creativity sim and its likely impending beta.

The mon (family crest) in the logo of the game is actually fictional. It was selected among a few different options designed by Connell, while Katami-san made sure that it was the most authentic and believable for the time period, and matched the mountains of Tsushima. It’s the family crest of “Jin Sakame”. I don’t believe this has been officially confirmed just yet, but this is probably the name of the protagon

David Cage’s latest tale seems to be nearing completion, as President of SIEA Shawn Layden hinted at in an interview back after E3. Having also received multiple gameplay demos, Detroit: Become Human is one of three titles likely to receive a release date during Friday night’s press conference, along with perhaps one more trailer to tease the three protagonists’ journeys in this near-future game.

As we approach the year’s end, this time has recently started to bring about two traditions for gaming enthusiasts: The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience. Both bring about their fair share of hype and announcements, but the latter has often done a solid job at preparing PS4 owners for the year ahead, particularly in regards to Sony’s plans for their first-party titles. Heading into 2018, Sony has a potential-filled lineup of varied titles, primarily from studios that have reared their heads after years in silence. While the publisher has hinted at some of their reveals inbound next week over in Anaheim, there’s still plenty more to speculate upon for eight of the PS4’s biggest releases.

Even though SuperData’s reports confirm more of the same kind of results video game fans have come to expect in 2016, there are still a number of interesting insights to be gleaned from what the firm has found. Bolstered by sales that were stronger than Destiny ‘s initial launch period, the release of Destiny: Rise of Iron in September rocketed Bungie’s shooter to the top of the console charts over traditionally dominant fall releases like FIFA

On the mobile platform, the continued dominance of Pokemon GO is also the most unsurprising, as the title’s status of global phenomenon has not been in jeopardy despite the development team’s slow response time in updating or implementing key design features. Pokemon GO sits comfortably ahead of its compatriots on mobile, much like League of Legends does its competitors on PC – World of Warcraft is the closest to Riot’s cash cow, with the nearest genre competitor being DOTA 2 a full six ranks behind Leag

In a market as complex as the one that video games are developed, marketed, and sold in, the research data regarding their respective successes or failures is equally complicated. For most gamers, the reports from the NPD Group, one of the most respected analysts when it comes to sales figures, are often where they glean trends in video games – for instance, the June NPD report from this year suggested console sales are slowing down , while a report on last month indicated that NBA 2K17 was doing well in sal

It’s been a month since we announced our newest title, Ghost of Tsushima. Here at Sucker Punch, we’ve watched so many reaction videos and read many of your comments with smiles on our faces, so we thought PSX was a great opportunity to share a little more with you

Interestingly, there are conflicting accounts on how effective Japanese archery and tactics really were against the Mongols, with mentions of sniping officers from afar being definitely successful. Some sources also suggest that Mongol formations weren’t as cohesive as others allege. Yet, one detail is interesting: the early Tachi blades used by the Samurai were too long and thin, causing them to often snap when impacting against the thick boiled leather armor worn by the Mongols. This triggered a process of revision of the Japanese sword that would lead to the creation of the shorter and sturdier Katana as we know
