Hassan Abdulmouti earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Fukui University, Japan, in March 2003, where he was awarded a Ph.D. scholarship by the Ministry of Education, Japan. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed his Master’s Degree in Education and Master’s Degree in Solar Energy from Damascus University, Syria, in March 1995 and March 1993, respectively. He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Damascus University, Syria, in October 1989.

Hassan Abdulmouti has a diverse professional background spanning academia, research, and industry. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), UAE, since August 2016, where he contributed significantly to the establishment of a new undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Program. Prior to his tenure at HCT, he held positions as an Associate Professor at the University of Sharjah (UOS), UAE, and Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU), KSA. He also served as the General Manager of R&D at Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) Co. (Toyota Automotive), KSA, from October 2007 to July 2011, where he oversaw research and development initiatives.

Hassan Abdulmouti’s research interests encompass a wide range of topics within the field of mechanical engineering, including multiphase flow, PIV measurements, solar energy, renewable energy systems, and fluid mechanics. He has conducted extensive research on innovative approaches to concentrated solar sphere designs for electrical power generation and the performance improvement of surface flow generated by bubble plumes.
